Senior UX Designer — Confidential AI Cybersecurity Client

I'm partnering with a well-funded AI cybersecurity startup in the Bay Area that's scaling aggressively after a $25M seed round. The founders are serial operators with multiple multi-billion-dollar outcomes in security, and the company is already engaged with Fortune 500 enterprises. They're building AI-driven security products ranging from intelligent agents to advanced generative AI workflows and are expanding their design function.

The Opportunity

They're hiring a Senior UX Designer who can translate highly technical cybersecurity workflows into intuitive, high-velocity user experiences. This is a pivotal role with direct impact on user trust, decision-making clarity, and overall product adoption. It's a chance to step into an early-stage environment with enterprise-grade backing.

Key Responsibilities

• Own UX end-to-end: research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished Figma deliverables.
• Simplify complex security concepts into clear, operational user journeys.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and cybersecurity SMEs to ensure design feasibility.
• Build and evolve a scalable design system across products.
• Advocate for user-centered decisions throughout the product lifecycle.

Ideal Profile

• 5–10 years in UX / Product / Interaction Design.
• Strong experience in Figma; Miro or Sketch familiarity is a plus.
• Background designing complex digital products (web or large-screen).
• Solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and global user considerations.
• Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Cybersecurity exposure or experience partnering with security teams.

• This role is 5 days a week onsite in San Jose

• Comp $175k-$220k + Bonus and Equity
• Must be willing to take part in Design challenges as part of the interview process
