The Role
TaxSlayer is seeking an
Infrastructure Engineer
to maintain and monitor our critical IT infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring reliability, security, and performance across our systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, implement best practices for automation and scalability, and play a key role in supporting business needs.

This is an onsite position in Augusta, GA and reports to the Director of IT.
What You'll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, firewalls, switches, and related hardware
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure, primarily in Microsoft Azure
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and network engineers, developers, and leadership to deliver projects on time
• Implement and maintain security measures to reduce cybersecurity risks
• Document configurations, processes, and incident resolutions accurately
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical system

Required Qualifications
What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar role
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
• Linux administration experience
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Experience with VMware virtualization

Preferred Skills

• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Containerization (Docker) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes and Rancher)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (Azure Pipelines, Terraform)
• Strong networking knowledge (protocols, routing, load balancing)
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional or relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications
