Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring each guest has a memorable dining experience. Experience with food and beverage service, along with strong communication skills, is essential. Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS is preferred, along with a background in hospitality settings. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the food industry while providing outstanding guest relations.

Duties

• Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems like Toast POS
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Manage guest relations to foster a welcoming atmosphere, including handling special requests and resolving issues efficiently
• Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations through OpenTable
• Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Toast POS, and OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous roles such as host/host or bartender can be beneficial but are not required
• Basic math skills for cashiering and billing transactions are necessary
