Coco & Jules Cookies is a fast-growing gourmet cookie bakery known for handcrafted, premium pastries and an exceptional customer experience. We're looking for an energetic, reliable Bakery Associate to join our team and help keep our shop running smoothly as we continue to scale.

Position Overview

As a Bakery Associate, you will support daily shop operations including prep, packaging, customer service, and general bakery upkeep. You'll work closely with bakers and front-of-house staff to ensure our product quality and guest experience are always top-tier.

Responsibilities

Kitchen & Production Support

• Assist with dough prep, portioning, mixing, and basic baking tasks
• Weigh and package cookies according to portion standards
• Prepare ingredients and restock baking supplies
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
• Label and stock product to ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO)

Front of House

• Greet customers with warmth and hospitality
• Answer questions about flavors, ingredients, and recommendations
• Handle POS transactions (Square), cash management, and order packaging
• Prepare beverages (coffee, hot coco, or other menu items)

Operations

• Help with opening or closing duties as scheduled
• Clean equipment, counters, and workstations throughout the shift
• Organize deliveries, storage, and ingredient inventory
• Assist with online orders / delivery apps when needed

What We're Looking For

• Positive attitude, good communication, and a team-first mindset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes/instructions
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and multitasking
• Punctual, reliable, and committed to cleanliness + product quality
• Food service, bakery, or café experience is a plus, not required

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Able to lift 25–40 lbs (moving trays, boxes, equipment, etc.)
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (4–8 hours)

Schedule

• Weekday and weekend shifts available
• Morning and Night availability preferred
• Flexibility during holidays and peak dessert seasons is a plus

• Hourly pay based on experience
