Warehouse Driver

The Warehouse Driver is responsible for the delivery of items and tools for Hatzel & Buehler warehouse and field locations. The Driver will load and unload delivery vehicles, and drive vehicles to delivery locations. Accurately keeping records of all inventory received and delivered, while observing safe driving laws is highly important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load truck accurately and safely for deliveries.
• Unload truck as needed at field and/or branch locations.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
• Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
• Updating and maintaining inventory records.
• Verify that quantities of materials for delivery are correct.
• Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in warehouse.
• Report any accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicle or delivered products.
• Communicate with other departments within the company to coordinate shipping schedules and delivery routes.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Medical DOT card or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrable, varied experience as a warehouse driver.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and warehouse inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Understands safety regulations and laws for safe working conditions.
• Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
• Forklift certification (preferred).
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Carry up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull using a pallet jack or hand truck.

• $20-30/hour DOE
