About
We are seeking a self-motivated Dock Technician at our Waste Water & Oil Processing Facility. Competitive Compensation plus bonuses based on performance.
Job Summary: As a member of the Oil Plant Division, the Dock Technician position is responsible for receiving, sampling and unloading drum loads at Eldredge Oil Processing Facility. Will also be responsible for dumping/pumping drums as needed. Will also assist with receiving, sampling and unloading of bulk loads and loading oil and glycol shipments as needed. This position promotes the Company's Core Values.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of the work completed by adhering to the environmental, health & safety policies and procedures and identify any potentially unsafe conditions or procedures to the Plant Manager
- Organizes the offload of drums from incoming trucks in a professional, timely and courteous manner
- Separates and organizes all loads as they are unloaded
- Sample, process and mark all containers as directed and according to Eldredge permit and process
- Immediately segregate oil, water, hazardous materials, and rejects to their designated areas as directed
- Unload material into the proper receiving tanks after plant approval
- Assist the processing of all materials
- Properly dispose of all recyclable materials (drums & cardboard)
- Cut and dispose of all plastic drums & totes
- Ensure proper housekeeping to maintain safe, efficient and clean work areas in tank farms, can dike, around pit area and on the docks
- Ensures all areas are neat, clean, and safe
- Assist with the loading of all needed materials

- Lifting up to 60 pounds maximum
- Special Projects as assigned
CLERICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Can Comprehend Written Instructions
- Produces legible & accurate documentation
- Attention to completeness of paperwork
- Accurate identification of time utilization
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully complete a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
- Operate equipment such as company vehicles, forklifts, excavator, etc. (active driver's license is required)
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Lifting up to 60 lbs., pulling and/or pushing and carrying; climbing, walking, standing, sitting, lifting, pulling/pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, crawling, stooping, and crouching.
- Color perception (Red, Green, Amber).
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Reliable and consistent transportation to/from facilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- High school diploma/GED is the minimum educational requirement.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills (call, text, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
