Lexington Square Condominium is a well-established, professionally managed condominium community located in Arlington, Virginia. The Association consists of two residential buildings totaling 366 units, with shared infrastructure and coordinated operations with neighboring properties. Lexington Square is known for its financial stability, strong governance, engaged residents, and collaborative Board–management relationship.
The Board of Directors is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Association and continue building on a solid foundation of operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and community trust.
The Position
The General Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall administration, operations, and financial management of the Association. The General Manager serves as the chief executive for the community, implementing Board policies, overseeing staff and contractors, and ensuring high standards of service for residents.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, ethical, and approachable leader who values transparency, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. Visibility within the community, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the condominium, including building systems, common areas, and resident services
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, providing professional guidance, recommendations, and timely reporting
- Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, reserve planning, financial reporting, and audit coordination
- Oversee vendor contracts, competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and performance management
- Supervise onsite staff and coordinate with contracted service providers (engineering, janitorial, security, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with Virginia Condominium Act, governing documents, and applicable laws and regulations
- Oversee capital projects, preventive maintenance programs, and long-term infrastructure planning
- Respond to resident concerns professionally and consistently, fostering positive community relations
- Support and guide Board committees as requested
- Maintain accurate Association records and ensure proper document retention
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of community association or condominium management experience
- Professional credentials such as CMCA, AMS, PCAM strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Financial planning, budgeting, and reserve management
- Contract negotiation and vendor oversight
- Building systems and capital project coordination
- Staff supervision and performance management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of high-rise or multi-building condominium operations preferred
- Experience working effectively with volunteer Boards

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $120, $126,000.00 per year
