Designer, Electrical

We seek a full-time Junior, Intermediate, or Senior Electrical Designer to join our growing engineering team at our Canadian headquarters, in North Bay, Ontario. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering and Technical Services, the ideal candidate will specialize in electrical design, and work closely with RRL's multi-disciplinary team

General:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, QA/QC, operations, procurement, and logistics.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with respect to Redpath and Client information.

• Interface with various RRL and Client teams.

• Consider safety and cost trade-offs in all endeavors. 

• Represent RRL with the utmost standard of professionalism in day-to-day interactions, both internally and externally.

Electrical Design:

• Collaborate with the engineering and design team to prepare and modify existing drawings.

• Produce, revise, and maintain drawings in accordance with Redpath's established standards and legislation.

• Provide design solutions for electrical components and systems.

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and reports.

• Conducts product and/or process research as required for projects and make recommendations.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design, operational, or manufacturing issues.

Education

Required: High school education with experience and familiarity with drawing software

Preferred: Relevant post-secondary technician or technologist degree

Work Experience (varies based on seniority level): 

Required: 1+ year of Electrical Design.

Preferred: 5+ years of Electrical Design in a mining or manufacturing environment.

  • AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical

• MS Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Base Salary

$76,000 - $104,000 Annually
