LIFEGUARD
DESCRIPTION
Lifeguards are responsible for the safety and security of our guests who are using the aquatic attractions throughout the park. In addition, they provide on site first aid and first response to injury and illness as it happens anywhere in the park.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guard pools and slides in a professional and diligent manner
Enforce facility rules and policies
Provide basic first aid and respond to emergency situations 
Monitor supply inventories and alert the manager of any potential replenishment needs
Provide exceptional guest service to park visitors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and maintain care and control of rescue equipment and radios.
Complete reports and daily operations form as required
Attend scheduled morning training sessions

Ability to converse in English and French is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Valid NLS certificate
Must complete and pass in-house orientation training both online and in-person prior to the opening season
Valid Standard First Aid Certificate
Valid CPR Basic Rescuer Level C certificate
Certifications in AED, supplemental O2 delivery, or airway management are an asset
Must be 16 years of age
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:   
This position is outdoors in all summer weather
This position requires frequent work in heat and sun.
This position requires occasional work in or around water, proximity to patrons, fumes/odors.   
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand/or walk for long periods of time throughout the day. 
Must be able to work outdoors in the park at various locations
Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech. 
Requires occasional kneeling and bending. 
Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling. 
Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
