Location: Nebraska Market – Corporate & Store Support

Reports To: COO

Position Summary

Roll-N-Sweetz is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to help launch and support our Nebraska market. This role will begin with hiring and onboarding the full Store #1 team and will then transition into weekly HR support, including payroll, scheduling coordination, and employee documentation.

The Human Resource Assistant will help ensure all employees are properly set up, trained, and supported as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Hiring & Staffing Support (Launch Priority)

  2. Assist with hiring up to 10 employees for Store #1.

  3. Post job ads, review applications, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
  4. Help collect all required hiring documents (IDs, W-4, I-9, banking info, certifications).

  5. Onboarding & HR System Entry

  6. Enter all new employee information into HR and payroll systems.

  7. Set up employee profiles, upload documents, and ensure all forms are completed.
  8. Assign training modules and confirm completion.
  9. Assist with setting up timekeeping/clock-in access.

  10. Payroll Assistance

  11. Help gather and verify employee hours each pay period.

  12. Assist with entering hours, checking for errors, and preparing payroll for approval.
  13. Support payroll troubleshooting and corrections.

  14. Scheduling Coordination

  15. Assist the COO and store manager with building and updating weekly staff schedules.

  16. Track availability changes, call-outs, and shift swaps.
  17. Ensure schedules meet labor coverage needs.

  18. Employee File Management

  19. Organize and maintain digital employee files.

  20. Track training, write-ups, onboarding status, and policy acknowledgements.
  21. Keep all HR documents up to date and compliant.

  22. General HR Support

  23. Answer employee questions related to HR, pay, or scheduling.

  24. Support policy communication and updates.
  25. Assist with maintaining a professional and positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in HR or administrative support preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable using digital systems and entering data accurately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Multitasking ability and strong attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
