Job Summary
The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct skilled client care and nurturing long-term client loyalty.  Responsibilities include following or drafting the plan of care, providing treatments, and collaborating with team members to achieve positive client care outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Fosters lasting client rapport 
  • Provides direct patient care 
  • Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
  • Conducts ongoing assessments
  • Prepares, administers, and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications
  • Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice
  • Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions
Qualifications
  • Dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences while cultivating strong, professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Current certificate of competence and good standing 
  • Certified in CPR
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray
