Job Summary
The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct skilled client care and nurturing long-term client loyalty. Responsibilities include following or drafting the plan of care, providing treatments, and collaborating with team members to achieve positive client care outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Fosters lasting client rapport
- Provides direct patient care
- Provides accurate, detailed, and timely documentation
- Conducts ongoing assessments
- Prepares, administers, and appropriately documents actions taken specific to medications
- Performs all skills, treatments, and procedures competently in accordance with the provincial scope of practice
- Follows principles of infection control and Universal Precautions
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences while cultivating strong, professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Current certificate of competence and good standing
- Certified in CPR
- Strong clinical skills
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
