Associate Attorney

Slotegraaf Niehoff, P.C. is seeking an associate attorney with experience in will contests and trust/estate litigation. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys courtroom work, strong writing, and guiding clients through high-stakes, high-emotion disputes with clarity and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Manage a docket focused on will contests, inheritance disputes, fiduciary litigation, and related probate/trust matters
• Draft and argue motions, responses, and supporting memoranda
• Handle discovery (written discovery, depositions, subpoenas, case strategy)
• Conduct court appearances, hearings, mediations/settlement conferences, and (as appropriate) trials
• Communicate with clients regularly and provide clear guidance on timelines, strategy, and expectations
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to keep matters moving efficiently and accurately

What We're Looking For

• J.D. and active Indiana bar license (in good standing)
• Litigation experience required (probate/trust litigation strongly preferred)
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Confident courtroom presence and comfort handling contested matters
• Professional judgment, responsiveness, and a client-centered approach
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organized case files

• Salary: DOE, plus opportunity for performance-based bonus/compensation
