About

Platform Engineer is responsible for developing the custom interface for our products to meet the needs of various patient accounting systems hosted by our clients. This includes validation of the configuration and administration of all client custom implementations. An experienced Platform Engineer has deep knowledge and understanding of database systems and IT infrastructure as well as batch data processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working as a member of a multimember team on a variety of cross-department projects.

Role Responsibilities:

· Technical implementation: file exchange, data integrations, client configuration

· Create client-specific and internal static and ad-hoc reports

· Initiate and support ad-hoc and recurring non-automated tasks

· Ticketing system triage and assignment of tickets

· 1st-level operational support – password resets, ad hoc queries, and research, etc.

· Analysis, design, development of client-specific processes and tools

· Recognition and escalation of core platform modifications

· File specifications communications modifications and "negotiation"

· Creation, Sending, Receipt, testing, and feedback on all test files

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the compan

Qualification:

Education

· BS/BA in MIS or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Experience

· Required – 2+ years' work experience with Data Management

· Required – 2+ years' work experience with SQL Server, TSQL, SSIS

· Required – Significant experience with Configuring complex systems

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

· Required - Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent

· Required – Skills and significant work experience with SQL Server, Transact-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS

· Desirable – Skills and work experience with SharePoint

· Required – Experience with requirements analysis and technical design

· Desirable – Experience with Project Management and associated tools

· Required – Understanding and work experience with various SDLC methodologies

· Required – Experience working as a member of a multi-member, cross-department project team

· Desirable – Experience doing internal technical product support

  • Design and implement robust system architectures utilizing microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions to support scalable applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines using DevOps practices such as CI/CD with tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker to streamline deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions leveraging Service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture principles, and system design best practices.
  • Manage IT infrastructure components including virtualization platforms like VMware and ESXi, cloud services such as AWS and Azure, and network configurations involving DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and system hardening.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence analysis, and implement security measures including cloud security protocols, system hardening techniques, and vulnerability management strategies.
  • Oversee database management using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and data integration tools like ETL processes for data migration and transformation.
  • Monitor system performance using tools for debugging, system administration tasks, and troubleshooting issues related to operating systems (Windows/Linux), system architecture, and network connectivity.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering with a strong background in computer science principles such as object-oriented programming (OOP), system design, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms including Azure.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking protocols (DNS, DHCP), firewalls, VPNs, load balancing solutions like Meraki or similar products.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, Ruby on Rails, Bash scripting, PowerShell or VBA for automation purposes.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies; familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git repositories; implementing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks including threat intelligence practices, vulnerability assessment techniques, system hardening procedures, and information security standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving web services (SOAP/REST), APIs integration (React Express), database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server), and system monitoring tools. Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
