Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Caribbean cuisine, have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and possess a strong work ethic. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking our signature jerk dishes and ensuring that every plate meets our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of Caribbean dishes, including our signature jerk meats, sides, and sauces, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Station Management: Efficiently manage your assigned station, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to order and delivered in a timely manner.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistency and adherence to FH JerkGOD's standards.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking and ordering supplies as needed, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and in good condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional customer service.
- Adaptability: Be prepared to assist with various tasks and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of Caribbean cuisine and cooking techniques preferred.
- Skills: Strong knife skills, proficiency in operating kitchen equipment, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
