POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the effective management of all production activities at Sanko Technologies USA, Incorporated. Key performance metrics for the position include scrap percentages, labor percentages, and machine up-time. Member of Manufacturing Operations Team involved with strategic, tactical, and operational decision making concerning various areas of the company.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Selection, training, and development of production staff personnel.
- Ensure that all staff is adhering to company policies and work procedures.
- Ensure that good housekeeping and safe work practices are part of everyone's daily work habits.
- Review daily shift report information and act as necessary to address operational inefficiencies.
- Manage plant scheduling and maintain defined Kanban levels.
- Continual communication with shift supervisors and support staff to ensure continuity of efforts.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in operational performance.
- Manage production-related Fast Response activities as required to rectify customer concerns.
- Ensure operator training and understanding regarding quality standards.
- Responsible for operator's performance of quality output.
- Maintain staff member's performance reviews and yearly competency.
- Maintain accurate staff timecards and ensure timely completion of payroll processes in compliance with company policies.
- Other assignments as designated by the Director of Operations or the Executive Management Team.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards Must be trusted by subordinates, peers, and superiors, and must be willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
- You must use the Plex manufacturing software whenever possible.
- Requires a commitment to continuous improvement to meet ever increasing demands for improved quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Excellent training and communication skills with subordinates, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with other the manufacturing operations team and the executive management team.
- Strong problem-solving skills of both the interpersonal and the technical side of the operation.
- Organized and structured approach to the work environment, with strong attention to details.
- Ability to handle stressful employee situations, and to treat people with respect.
- Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
- Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
- Must be willing to travel on a limited basis.
- General knowledge of ITAF & ISO as verified by internal test.
Physical Requirements
- Movement: Standing for up to 8 hours, easily able to walk short distances up to 1000 feet, reasonably sitting and bending as required.
- Lifting: Carrying, pushing, and pulling carts/packages within the factory up to 30 lbs.
- Hand-eye coordination: Using hands to feel, handle, or finger objects, or to reach with arms
- Vision: Being able to see and respond to dangerous situations, close visual acuity to perform computer-based work, reading drawings, inspecting parts.
- Hearing: Being able to hear and respond to sounds
- Manual dexterity: Being able to move objects and assemble parts using limbs with good coordination, able to enter data into a computer using a keyboard.
- Balance: Being able to move safely within the factory and office areas
