Controls Engineer (Manufacturing)
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team. This critical role involves managing and optimizing complex automated systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications
• Experience: Experience in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Education: A four-year degree in Engineering or a related field or experience
• Technical Stack: Experience with PLC/HMI systems
• Robotics: Demonstrated experience with robotic programs, specifically with Fanuc robotics
• Networking: Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, RS-232, Devicenet, and DH+.
• Design: Proficiency in reading, updating electrical schematic drawings , and using AutoCAD design software.
Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshooting: Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls downtime events, including MES/PLC Communication Systems.
• System Improvement: Implement, modify, and continuously improve existing control systems, including robotics, PLC (ladder logic), and motor controls.
• Optimization: Continually monitor processes (e.g., laser cutting, robotics, welding) to ensure equipment runs at optimal efficiency.
• Mentorship: Work well with others and serve as a mentor to the electrical team.
• Quality & CI: Integrate assembly verification/poke yoke systems and actively participate in lean, continuous improvement programs.
