About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise (90%) and some frontend experience (10%) to join a dynamic, profitable startup working to revolutionize the employee benefits market. This role offers you the chance to build scalable backend services and maintain APIs, working fully remotely with a US-based team during EST hours.
Job Requirements
- 5–10 years professional software engineering experience
- Expertise with NodeJS or another dynamically typed language (Python, Ruby, PHP)
- Strong experience building and consuming APIs (CRM APIs are a plus)
- Professional experience with SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL Server)
- Experience building scalable backend services supporting web/mobile applications
- Experience interfacing tightly with external APIs (e.g., Stripe, OneSignal, SendGrid, MailChimp)
Nice to Have
- Startup experience on a close-knit engineering team
- Leading large feature sets independently
- Experience integrating Salesforce, HubSpot, or MS Dynamics APIs
- Experience with MVC frameworks (Django, Ruby on Rails, etc.)
- Production experience with Postgres
- Familiarity with Serverless or Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Own development and maintenance of backend services and APIs
- Lead integrations with CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Dynamics
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers to deliver scalable solutions
- Implement and deploy data export, enrichment pipelines, document processing
- Troubleshoot and optimize system reliability and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable code, participate in reviews
- Engage in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, iterative delivery)
