Overview
We are seeking an experienced Painter or Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial painting, as well as renovation and restoration work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting, site experience, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, and finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and other relevant techniques
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
- Perform specialized tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, plastering, masonry, and concrete finishing
- Assist with renovation projects including fixture installation, framing, drywall installation, and remodeling tasks
- Maintain safety standards on-site by adhering to OSHA regulations and using proper personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet client specifications
- Conduct touch-ups and quality inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship are met
Skills
- Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques with knowledge of color theory and surface preparation
- Experience with construction estimating and reading blueprints or schematics for precise project execution
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and other construction-related machinery
- Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, framing, drywall installation, and restoration processes
- Ability to perform demolition and renovation tasks including fixture installation and remodeling projects
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for project planning
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and maintenance procedures
- Maintenance Person experience is a plus; ability to adapt quickly to various construction tasks including concrete finishing and industrial painting
