Our client is a global manufacturer of a wide range of chemistry-based products used in multiple different markets. They are currently looking to add a Process Engineer II to their manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience with process optimization and continuous improvement.

The Process Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes within the plant. Continuously seek ways to improve yield and energy efficiency of the processes. Develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities, and maintain all quality control standards. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements. Consult with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate the production process.

  • Monitor, improve the efficiency and output of the plant, ensure the manufacturing process is operating at optimal levels, maximize the rate and quality of all assets in order to meet requirements.
  • Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements.
  • Monitor modifications, upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes and maintains knowledge of the Process Chemistry.
  • Work closely with the Plant Engineering Mgr in the design, installation, and commissioning of new production equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection.
  • Participate in risk assessments including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies for the health and safety of both plant staff and the community.
