Nucare Senior Living is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents. We strive to maintain the highest standards of care, cleanliness, and facility upkeep. We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance person to join our team.

Position Summary:

Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the overall safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the facility and grounds. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with Wisconsin regulations which govern environmental health, safety, sanitation, and physical plant requirements for Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, codes, and DHS 83 facility maintenance regulations
  • Address and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in outsourcing snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal upkeep of facility grounds
  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance workspaces and storage areas
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including on-call duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed
  • Support infection control and environmental sanitation efforts (e.g., disinfection protocols, proper waste disposal)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous maintenance experience in assisted living, healthcare, or senior housing strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic building systems and regulatory safety standards
  • Familiarity with facility and environmental compliance requirements (preferred or must be willing to learn)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks safely
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues
  • Must pass background check and health screenings per state requirements

Pay is based on experience and certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $75,000.00 per year
