Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Chicago, Illinois? We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and support our warehouse operations. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and transporting materials within our facility. A strong understanding of warehouse safety, proper equipment operation, and adherence to logistics procedures are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and onto racks.
- Transport products to and from various warehouse locations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any issues.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately and safely in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow established lifting and material handling procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Support the overall logistics and operational goals of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
