Join our vibrant team in Portland, Oregon as a Picker/Packer! This fast-paced role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves, inspecting them for quality, and carefully packing them for shipment. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse inventory using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for any damage or defects before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
- Practice safe lifting techniques and be prepared to lift items up to 45 pounds.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety and procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
