About
Are you ready to be an essential part of our logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota? We are hiring Picker/Packers to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately locating items within the warehouse, picking them using scanning technology or pick lists, and carefully packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency are crucial for customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center. We prioritize Safety, and you will be expected to follow all guidelines, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a hands-on role with opportunities to contribute to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order details.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick sheets to identify and gather items.
- Inspect picked items for accuracy and quality.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Verify packed orders against customer requirements before shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to Safety and operations.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet daily performance targets for picking and packing accuracy and speed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including stocking and cycle counts.
- Handle tasks that may involve moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics chain.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or safety to your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or picking/packing role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and performing tasks involving Lifting for the duration of the shift.
- Capability for moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics principles.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment and following Safety protocols.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
