About
Seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate for our Kansas City, Missouri operations. This role is fundamental to our logistics chain, focusing on efficient and accurate handling of inventory and customer orders. You will be involved in various warehouse tasks, including receiving goods, stocking shelves, accurately picking and packing items, and preparing them for shipment. Your contribution will directly impact the speed and accuracy of our order fulfillment process. We prioritize employee well-being and maintain a safe work environment, providing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and moving of products. While prior warehouse or logistics experience is advantageous, we are eager to welcome individuals with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a desire to learn and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory accurately.
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Efficiently pick items from inventory based on customer orders, ensuring correct product and quantity.
- Pack orders securely and appropriately for shipment, minimizing damage.
- Prepare shipments, including labeling and necessary documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts - training available).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate actively in inventory management activities like cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated ability for frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical exertion.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and independently as needed.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
