This role is key to our efficient logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific products from warehouse shelves according to pick lists or electronic data. Your precision and speed in this task directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our distribution center. We maintain a strong focus on safety, and you will be provided with all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comprehensive safety training. This role demands physical stamina and involves regular lifting of goods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Prepare picked items for staging, packing, or direct shipment.
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all established safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in stock verification.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks to move products efficiently and safely.
- Report any inventory inaccuracies, damaged goods, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Meet performance targets for picking speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
