We are actively seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Milwaukee, Wisconsin team. This crucial role involves operating various types of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to storage locations, picking and staging orders, and ensuring the safe and efficient flow of inventory. A strong focus on safety, adherence to operational procedures, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success in this position. As a vital member of our logistics team, you will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency. We provide ongoing training and expect strict compliance with all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move materials.
- Load and unload palletized freight from trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for outbound shipment.
- Perform pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Follow all company safety regulations and logistics procedures.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Experience with logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
