This role is essential for maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring the safe and proper handling of all materials. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated storage locations.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, often up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is advantageous.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
