We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on inventory levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. You will work closely with warehouse staff, procurement, and sales departments to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock rotation, expiration dates, and product conditions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper handling of goods.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Adhere to strict standards for lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform duties requiring moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
