Join our dynamic team as a Picker/Packer in our Chicago, Illinois warehouse. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented and efficient in fulfilling customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking products from designated locations, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must have the physical stamina for constant movement and occasional Lifting. A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items for accuracy before packing.
- Package products securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Follow proper techniques for Lifting and handling products.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item labels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform frequent Lifting for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety standards.
- Must be able to wear and utilize required PPE throughout the shift.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
