We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility, playing a key part in our overall logistics process. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, endurance, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Perform regular inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, handling, and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
- Excellent safety record and knowledge of safe lifting techniques.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics best practices is beneficial.
