Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator in Raleigh, North Carolina! This is a critical role within our logistics operations, requiring a certified and experienced individual to safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks. Your primary responsibility will be to move, load, unload, and store materials, products, and goods within the warehouse. You will ensure that inventory is handled correctly, minimizing damage and maintaining accuracy. This position demands a strong understanding of forklift safety procedures, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to navigate complex warehouse environments. We are looking for reliable individuals with a proven track record of safe operation. Attention to detail is paramount, especially when it comes to verifying shipments and maintaining inventory records. The ability to work independently and as part of a larger logistics team is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Store and retrieve inventory from various warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and heavy lifting when required.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient logistics environment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
