We are looking for efficient and reliable Order Pickers to join our bustling logistics center in Raleigh, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, your primary duty will be to accurately gather products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our fulfillment operations, requiring speed, accuracy, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You will utilize handheld scanners to identify and locate items, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are picked. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is essential, and adherence to all company safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items, so physical stamina is a must. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using order lists and scanners.
- Locate products within the warehouse according to established layouts.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation activities.
- Report any order discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Awareness of safety best practices, including PPE usage.
