Join our efficient logistics team as an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We need detail-oriented individuals to accurately gather items for customer orders within our busy warehouse. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate shipments. You will utilize scanning technology and work diligently to meet production targets while maintaining a safe working environment. Strict adherence to safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, and safe lifting techniques is required.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and confirm order accuracy.
- Verify product information and quantities before packing.
- Pack items carefully to prevent damage during shipping.
- Stage picked orders for quality check and final shipment.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Participate in cycle counting and inventory checks as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Perform tasks requiring regular lifting and physical activity, using proper lifting techniques.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Experience with RF scanning devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 45 lbs) consistently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace safety regulations.
