Our bustling distribution center in Miami, Florida is looking for an organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator. This role serves as a key support function in our logistics operations, assisting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a safe and productive environment. You will be instrumental in coordinating shipments, managing inventory flow, and supervising warehouse personnel to meet operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Coordinate the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and internal teams.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock counts and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all warehouse transactions.
- Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse associates, promoting teamwork and productivity.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring all employees adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, adhering to safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in managing operational costs and improving efficiency in logistics processes.
- Perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs) as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or a degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination, supervision, or a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with material handling equipment and safe lifting techniques is essential.
- Must be capable of performing tasks involving regular lifting and physical activity.
