About
Myna Therapy Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team in a school-based setting. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and support school-based therapists and telehealth therapists serving various school districts. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality speech therapy services to pediatric patients.
In this role, you will case manage and lead the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will conduct assessments, collaborate with educators and families, and mentor SLPs, OTs, and PTs to uphold the highest standards of care. *Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, utilizing current evaluation tools and techniques to inform service delivery.
* Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs, and fulfilling IEP requirements.
* Lead and supervise therapy sessions, ensuring effective delivery of treatment modalities while monitoring student progress.
* Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and facilitate communication goals.
* Mentor and train therapists and therapy assistants, promoting professional growth, best practices, and a supportive team environment.
* Conduct employee reviews, participate in the hiring process, and provide training for new staff to enhance team effectiveness and ensure high standards of care.
* Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards and district policies.
* Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques, pediatric development, and relevant educational regulations to enhance clinical practice and contribute to program improvements.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Directors of Special Education, maintaining strong relationships to enhance collaboration and support for students receiving services.
* Reach out to new school districts to foster partnerships and explore opportunities for additional contracts, contributing to program expansion and service availability.
*Requirements*
* Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
* ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology).
* Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings.
* Prior telehealth experience.
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient assessment methods specific to speech-language pathology.
* Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for children with diverse communication challenges.
* Experience with family education to support ongoing development outside clinical sessions.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
* Ability to lead clinical teams confidently while maintaining a positive, energetic approach.
* Prior leadership experience is preferred, showcasing the ability to mentor and guide staff in delivering high-quality speech therapy services.
