Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing administrative tasks. This role is crucial in providing excellent patient care and support within our facility, particularly in pediatrics.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy in scheduling and documentation.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy, utilizing medical terminology as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations within the hospital setting.
- Provide information about services offered, appointment availability, and other relevant details to patients and families.
- Uphold a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Help the physiotherapist with treatment my implementing exercise programs, modalities, or what the treatment plan prescribes
- track patient retention and drop and ensure 100% satisfaction with patient care
- complete sanitation for treatment area and laundry
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role preferred, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable to effectively communicate with staff and patients.
- Familiarity with patient care practices, especially in acute care or rehab environment, is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain patient and calm under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software applications relevant to administrative duties.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.
- Experience working as a physiotherapist and/or assistant
