Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through shipping, receiving, and storage processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse management systems to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) including AS400 to track inventory levels and order processing.
  • Manage warehouse staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams for timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Oversee packaging, heavy lifting, order picking, and load & unload activities to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records related to shipping & receiving, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
  • Implement process improvements for operational efficiency and safety standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or distribution operations with a solid understanding of warehouse processes.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar platforms.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers safely.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with packaging and order fulfillment best practices.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and record keeping. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a dynamic warehouse team while ensuring operational excellence across all facets of warehousing activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $39.90 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
