Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of products within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments using forklifts and other equipment
  • Operate warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory and process orders
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist with order fulfillment, packaging, and labeling to ensure proper delivery
  • Support shipping & receiving activities by inspecting incoming and outgoing goods
  • Maintain safety standards while operating heavy equipment like forklifts
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Support warehouse distribution tasks including inventory counts and stock organization
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and efficiency
  • Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, safety standards, and warehouse procedures

Skills

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts would be an asset
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) AS400 or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes and order fulfillment procedures
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with warehouse distribution preferred
  • Knowledge of order picking, packaging, load & unload operations, and inventory control
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to safety standards
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order processing
  • Prior experience in warehouse experience or related roles is highly desirable
