Kitchen helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to a clean and organized kitchen. Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up new business to become operational for dine in and cleaning commercial kitchen.
• Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
• Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed throughout the kitchen area
• Assist with serving food to customers or plating dishes as needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Must have worked in an Indian restaurant before
• Knowledge of Hindi or Punjabi language is preferred but not mandatory.
• Should be able to work and stand for long hours
• Must have reliable means of transportation as the location have no public transportation.

Skills

• Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques
• Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and follow instructions carefully
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward customer service and teamwork

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
