About
We are looking for a compassionate and flexible Behavioural Specialist/Behavioural Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team We offer flexible hours, diverse caseloads, and competitive contracting rates. This is a contract position, allowing you to create your own schedule. Direct session time, travel time, and prep time are billable. We provide mentorship, scheduling/contact note software for ease of service, and a supportive team environment that values collaboration and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Master's Degree in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Care, Education, or a related field.
- Experience implementing behaviour intervention or therapy programs with children and families (FSCD or similar experience an asset).
- Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles is preferred.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Valid Alberta Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
- CPR certification considered an asset.
Responsibilities
Successful applicants will have a diverse workload, including:
- Working with private and FSCD clients to implement individualized behaviour intervention programs.
- Conducting observations and collecting data on behaviour and skill development.
- Collaborating with families, school staff, and multidisciplinary team members (SLPs, OTs, etc.) to support client goals.
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of behaviour support plans and teaching strategies.
- Supporting clients in developing self-regulation, communication, and social skills.
- Documenting session notes, progress, and updates in accordance with agency guidelines.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.5 – 15 per week
