School Bus Driver

Valley Transportation is now hiring school bus drivers in the Deep River, Chalk River, Petawawa, Pembroke, Westmeath, Beachburg, Cobden, Douglas, Eganville, Barry's Bay and surrounding areas

Our drivers enjoy:

• Regular, part-time split shift hours from Monday to Friday, Morning and Afternoons
• Ability to bring your children to work
• FREE in-house training & licence upgrading (to a B licence)
• 187 working days per year – Regular Monday to Friday schedule throughout the school year.
• Additional income opportunities available to do school and private charters between runs, afterhours, or weekends
• Independent work environment with competitive wages

To qualify you must:

• Be dependable, caring, and committed to the safety of your riders
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English
• Be a team player, able to work well with the public and children
• Hold a full G-class Ontario driver's licence with at least three years of driving experience as a licensed driver (current G2 holders will not qualify for the upgrading process, must carry a full G licence)
• Be able to provide a clear Criminal Background Check & Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Be able to pass a Ministry of Transportation Medical Screening
• Be available Monday to Friday for split shifts, shifts generally 1.5hours - 2.5hours in length and occur between the hours of 7am-9am and again from 3pm to 5pm
