HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

As our Human Resources Coordinator, you will work closely with the Director of HR, experience challenges and rewards and have an opportunity to shape and influence our environment.

Under the guidance of our Director, Human Resources, our HR Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day HR operations and working collaboratively with both employees and management. This role requires well-rounded HR experience providing advice and support within the following functional areas: employee relations, recruitment, payroll and benefits, performance management, training and development, and occupational health and safety.

We are seeking a person with the following skill set and competencies:

  • Three to Five years Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in a high pressure, fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with health and safety
  • Experience in payroll
  • Related certifications, courses or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is a requirement.
  • Having a Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or working towards one is an asset.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is a requirement.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to prioritize.
  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and minimal supervision.

Your skills and competencies will help you:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, HR related policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Build rapport and provided mentorship/guidance towards employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate recruitment and retention initiatives; providing leadership and guidance throughout the recruitment selection process for various labour and administrative career opportunities.
  • Facilitate and organize new hire orientations, training, and employee professional development initiatives.
  • Actively contribute in occupational health & safety initiatives including committee representation and acting as a liaison with outside agencies.
  • Provide HR and Health and Safety statistical reports, i.e.: absenteeism, recruitment and retention, Health & Safety incidents.
  • Be a support to and provide for payroll.
