Job Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day office and field operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and outstanding customer care. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with confidence. College or equivalent experience is considered an asset. Experience within the HVAC field not required.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Administration
- Deliver exceptional customer service by phone, email, and in-person
- Oversee office operations to ensure smooth daily workflow
- Manage scheduling for technicians and installation teams
Financial & Accounting Duties
- Assist accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with general accounting tasks and financial reporting
Management & Coordination
- Serve as Warranty Manager—submit, track, and reconcile claims
- Act as Service Manager for coordinating service calls and follow-ups
- Support and supervise office staff as needed
- Maintain organized records, databases, and software systems
- Work with various Efficiency Nova Scotia Rebate programs
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills (experience with Microsoft office and other software programs, scheduling systems, or CRM preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in HVAC, construction, or a service-based industry is a plus
- Prior management or office leadership experience preferred
