Job Summary:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, coordinates and directs the receipt of all in-bound and out-bound goods, planned customer orders, provides internal and/or external resources necessary to meet delivery needs. Handles all related administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and logistics activities.
- Assign daily work duties to warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability requirements are met.
- Provide training, support and direction to employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP's)
- Communicate across Warehouse, Transportation, Sales and Customer Service departments regarding possible issues impacting our customer.
- Review service providers' performance to ensure service and quality requirements are met and cost controls are met.
- Demonstrate leadership through effective teamwork and demonstrating a positive attitude.
- Participate in training, inspection, investigation and continuous improvement programs.
- Works closely with Operations, properly prioritizing scheduling of in-bound and out-bound goods
- Directs and administers processing of U.S, customs documents and bills of lading
- Maintains and ensures compliance of product classifications for NAFTA certificate and related documents for cross-boarder shipping
- Prepares all paperwork; transfers documents to ensure that proper inventory adjustments are made
- Conducts an ongoing analysis of alternative methods of transportation, both in-bound, out-bound and customs-way delivery
- Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
- Coordinates with Sales personnel on the return for credit of damages or unwanted goods
- Determines packaging requirements and ensures appropriate packing is in place
Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years experience working in a shipping/receiving department
- Ability to prioritize and direct staff as required
- Knowledge of US shipments, UPS and FedEx platform.
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Competency in math calculations.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 60lbs and standing for extended periods of time
- Certified forklift and electric reach truck driver.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Knowledge of Visual ERP.
Relation of the position to others in the company
- Will work cooperatively with Production staff, Packaging, Sales, Procurement, and Inventory Control

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
