*Overview*
Join our dynamic veterinary team as an Associate Veterinarian and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care in a mixed animal mobile setting! You will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals, and supporting pet owners with expert advice. *Duties*
* Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose health issues across various species, including dogs, cats, ruminants, and equines.
* Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, wound care, and minor surgeries using aseptic techniques as well as major surgeries including dental cleanings, spay/neuter, mass removal, etc.
* Handle animal restraint and animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff during examinations and procedures.
* Maintain accurate veterinary records, including laboratory test results, treatment plans, and patient histories.
* Educate pet owners on animal physiology, anatomy, behavior, and proper pet care practices to promote long-term health.
* Support laboratory testing procedures and interpret results to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
*Experience*
* Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal husbandry, anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
* Prior exposure to veterinary critical care environments is highly desirable.
* Experience with laboratory procedures and understanding of aseptic techniques in clinical settings.
* Familiarity with equine care or additional species handling is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to handle dogs confidently, including dog handling skills for various temperaments.
* Knowledge of animal catheterization procedures and laboratory testing enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care. Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
