Overview
Technical Sales Specialist : Scotland : Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. Excellent basic salary negotiable dependent upon experience, plus excellent benefits such as Car, Pension, Buy/Sell holidays, and more. Technically competent Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager required to join our Client’s expanding team providing industrial control and automation products and solutions. This is a field based role, visiting customer sites and premises with 1 to 2 days either home office or company office. The Sales Engineer will be selling a range of high quality Industrial Automation products and solutions, such as PLC, Control Gear, Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation and Ex equipment into an industrial sector customer base including OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder customers throughout the whole of Scotland. Field based, ideal location would be in the central belt M8 Glasgow Edinburgh corridor. Post codes used are for advertising purposes only. Responsibilities
Work to achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to achieve objectives by managing and developing an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new avenues of business. Visit customer sites and premises as part of a field based sales role; interact with OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders across Scotland. Promote and sell industrial automation products and solutions (including PLC, Control Gear, Drives, Sensors, HMI, Process Instrumentation and Ex equipment). Develop account relationships, manage opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the business in the Scottish market. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and provide ongoing support to customers. Adhere to normal office hours while recognizing the external nature of the role and travel requirements. Qualifications
Experience in sales within the Industrial Automation / Electrical Control and Automation sector; proven track record as a business developer. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential; ability to demonstrate knowledge and sales ability if not qualified. Sales training or development experiences to enhance sales skills are advantageous. Good organisation and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team with a degree of autonomy. Proficiency with Microsoft packages and readiness for field-based work with travel around Scotland; flexible to meet business needs. Additional Details
Working Monday to Friday around normal office hours; external sales role requiring road travel, so flexibility is expected to meet business needs. We work across a range of business to business/B2B market sectors including Renewable Energy, Electrical, Control and Automation, Electronic, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Fluid Power, Instrumentation, Engineering services, Industrial Components, Capital Equipment, Material Handling, Scientific Equipment, Petrochemical and Utilities.
