Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in a high-energy, customer-focused environment. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader committed to fostering a positive team culture while delivering an outstanding dining experience for every guest.Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership: Supervise all food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistent quality and flavor.
- Operations & Inventory: Manage stock levels, order supplies, and implement waste-reduction strategies to maintain healthy margins.
- Safety & Compliance: Oversee strict adherence to food safety protocols and health department regulations.
- Team Development: Recruit, interview, and train kitchen staff; conduct performance evaluations and mentor team members to enhance their culinary and service skills.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets for food costs, labor, and supplies to hit financial targets.
- Service Coordination: Partner with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service flow and efficient shift management.
- Tech Proficiency: Utilize POS systems (e.g., Toast or Micros) for order processing and sales reconciliation.
- Event Support: Oversee catering or banquet services as needed, demonstrating versatility across different service styles.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record as a Kitchen Manager in quick-service, casual, or fine-dining environments.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in culinary arts, advanced cooking techniques, and inventory control.
- Management: Demonstrated success in staff training, shift supervision, and labor management.
- Systems: Proficiency with POS systems (Toast, Micros, etc.) and basic financial budgeting.
- Compliance: Deep knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).
- Leadership: An energetic, "lead-by-example" attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Background: Previous experience in hotels or bars is a plus.
