Under general supervision of the IT Supervisor II, Security Operations Center Unit, the incumbent will be performing a wide variety of tasks requiring occasional innovative problem solving. The incumbent performs tasks related to cybersecurity monitoring within the Franchise Tax Board's Security Operations Center (SOC), which contributes to the protection of FTB's systems, data, and people. The regular work schedule will be after typical business hours and include weekends and holidays, in order to provide 24x7 coverage. This position performs functions that fall within the Information Technology domain of Information Security Engineering.

Working Conditions
This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship or a training plan, now or in the future.
The regular work schedule will be after typical business hours and include weekends and holidays, in order to provide 24x7 coverage.
The work week will be determined upon hiring:
Swing Shift: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11:30pm
Grave Shift: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7:30am
