The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Internal Engineering team is comprised of SQL and VBA engineers who support a wide range of business units across the organization.
The team:
- Focuses on building scalable, reliable SQL-driven applications and logic
- Partners closely with operational leaders to solve high-impact business problems
- Supports both internal operational workflows and patient-facing web property needs
- Prioritizes efficiency, automation, and business value
- Provides opportunities for both external SQL talent and internal Aeroflow employees to grow into engineering roles
This role is ideal for either:
- Candidates with SQL experience, OR
- Current Aeroflow employees with strong operational knowledge who want to transition into engineering.
Your Primary Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a SQL Engineer. The SQL Engineer is responsible for:
- Translating business requirements into effective, maintainable SQL logic
- Writing high-quality SQL queries, stored procedures, and application logic
- Collaborating with IT, Engineering, and Business teams to define requirements and build solutions
- Supporting automations and data-driven business processes
- Testing: unit, integration, and functional
- Debugging, optimizing, and refactoring SQL code
- Enhancing existing logic and adding new features as needs evolve
- Developing and maintaining clear, well-organized technical documentation
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, internal policies, and all applicable regulations
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
- Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
- Regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule

Required Qualifications
To support both internal mobility and external SQL hiring, candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways.
(This structure has been reviewed for HR compliance: both pathways meet job-related, non-discriminatory criteria.)
Pathway A: External SQL-Focused Candidates
- Minimum 1+ year of professional SQL experience, including writing queries or supporting processes through SQL logic
- Familiarity with database management systems and concepts such as optimization, data structures, or application workflows
Pathway B: Internal Aeroflow Candidates Transitioning Into Engineering
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a business role at Aeroflow (ex: Operations, Intake, Resupply, Mom & Baby, Uro/CGM, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of Aeroflow systems, workflows, and operational logic
- Strong interest and aptitude to translate business knowledge into SQL-based technical solutions
(Either pathway is acceptable. Meeting one pathway fully qualifies a candidate for consideration. )
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience working on cross-departmental projects involving business logic
- Exposure to additional programming languages or automation tools
- Experience manipulating complex datasets or supporting data analytics workflows
