Job Description:

Position Title: Azure Data Architect

Location: Hartford, CT

Position: Hybrid (2 days a week) or Remote (East/Central time zones only)

Long term contract

Required Skills & Experience:

The Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data infrastructure to ensure optimal data management, integration, accessibility, and security. This role defines how data is collected, stored, processed, and used across the business.

Data Architecture & Design

  • Develop and maintain the data architecture strategy, including models, standards, and governance.
  • Design scalable, high-performance data solutions (data lakes, warehouses, databases, etc.).
  • Ensure data structures support business and analytics needs.

Data Management & Integration

  • Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple internal/external sources.
  • Establish and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability.
  • Partner with Data Engineers and Analysts to streamline data flows.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work with IT, BI, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to align on data strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data teams.
  • Recommend tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities.
  • Monitor data usage and ensure adherence to security best practices.
